The Sustainability Work Team is a launch pad of innovative solutions and knowledge applications that assembles and leverages the Institute's products for a broader market and audience.
As the completeness of a research effort lies in the advocacy of its results, so is the realization of an advocacy dependent on its sustainability. It was formed in 2004 to inculcate the concept of sustainability in all research and advocacy work of IPD.It aims to develop ideas and innovate ways to generate and effectively manage resources of the Institute. At the same time, the team hopes to share these innovations and ideas to civil society organizations that seek to reduce their dependence on grants and attempt to become more self-reliant.
The Team markets Institutional expertise in Political Mapping (POLMAP), Electoral Campaign Management and Free Libre Open Source (FLOSS). It is also currently involved in six consultancy projects focusing on the information technology-based solutions in development advocacy, monitoring and communications.
The Sustainability Work Team's work program is collectively called the Applied Technology and Information Solutions (ATIS).
